[DIY/Backpacking] Antipolo Trip – PACEM Eco Park

I was looking for somewhere else to go to along with my Pinto Art Museum and Hinulugang Taktak trips in Antipolo City, and I was able to come across blogs about this place.

PACEM stands for Peace And Care For Earth Ministry. It’s an eco-park within Assumption College in Antipolo, Rizal.

Address: Sumulong Highway, Antipolo City
Operating Hours:
Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 3:30pm
Saturdays – 8:30am to 12:00noon
Entrance Fee: P85

When I got there on a Saturday, it was already 11:15AM and the place was about to close. I told them that it would just take me around 20 minutes to roam around so they let me in.

Butterfly Gallery – Oh this gallery is so pretty being filled with different kinds of butterflies from different part of the world.

Shell Collection – I really like underwater stuff despite the fact that I don’t swim under open water. Here, all sorts of sizes, they have—small, big, huge.

Aviary – this has different kind of birds. I saw white cockatoo, eagle, peacock… However, you can smell feces and urine. I hope they maintain this place well.

Orchidarium – If my mother was with me, she’d be very thrilled to look at the plants. I’d bet she’d be able to identify most of those without reading its description. She’ll really pass at either botanist or florist.

Wishing Well – Oh look! They have a wishing well saying “Wish I may, wish I might have the wish I wish tonight.” Didn’t wish though.

As promised to the caretakers, I was able to finish viewing the park in less than 20 minutes.

It was a nice place to visit. I was lucky I was alone that day since they were about to close. There was also other collection I was not able to see like the bugs since it was locked. I might go back here to immerse more.
